THE FACE ROLLING PHENOMENON: HOW TO DO IT AND WHY.

Face rollers have been baptized as skincare's star gadget. The #1 bathroom shelf essential for many of our favorite celebrities. This beauty tool promises endless benefits for our complexion game; but which ones exactly? how? and why? Keep reading to find out what all the hype is about.

WHAT IS A FACE ROLLER AND WHAT ARE THEY USED FOR?

These roller blade type beauty tools are usually made out of special stones; the most common being jade and rose quartz. Yet you may also find different kinds on the market, some made of amethyst, obsidian or metal. They’re primarily used for face massaging and promoting lymphatic drainage. Face rollers are uniquely designed with a double end to gently apply pressure on all areas of the face (even those hard to reach spots), making them the nonpareil among skincare gadgets.

WHAT DOES FACE ROLLING ACTUALLY DO FOR YOU SKIN?

Better yet, why don’t we ask what it DOESN'T do? Face rolling guarantees umpteen benefits for the skin. Aside from muscle relaxation and draining fluids, face rollers help improve blood circulation, decrease puffiness, bring more nutrients and oxygen to your skin, boost the absorption of products and ultimately brighten and tighten your complexion. Additionally, the minerals they’re made from contain healing powers of their own. Jades are believed to protect humans from negative energies, while rose quartz are known for boosting your sense of self-worth.

  • Always roll upwards! And never back and forth.
  • Use the large end for your forehead, cheeks, jawline and neck, and the smaller stone for your under eyes.
  • Keep it in a cool environment, like your fridge.
